During peak season for City Park Grill (June- August) the majority of guests who dine with us are vacationers or tourists who are drawn to the area by the Great Lakes and other recreational activities. Our property appeals to people of all ages who love delicious food, however, on the weekends we have live music which is mainly focused on people who are 21 and older (due to the fact that we check ID at the door). The main attraction of City Park Grill is the vast history of the region and even including the building itself. Due to the fact that City Park Grill is located in a predominate summer vacation area, year round staff retention is a weakness because business is not nearly as good in the off-season as it is in the summer. City Park Grill's primary marketing strategy is word to mouth. One way that we execute this strategy is through hotel referrals by local concierge and hotel staff. Another marketing strategy we use are local publications in newspapers and restaurant reviews, such as Northern Express, in order to get our name out there.
